Endodontist

Dr. Edmund Monsef hails from a lineage steeped in endodontic expertise, having grown up immersed in his father’s practice, a pillar in San Diego's dental community for decades. His academic journey, rooted in neurophysiology at the University of California, San Diego, naturally led him to specialize in Endodontics. After earning his DMD degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, Dr. Monsef further honed his clinical acumen through an AEGD residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. This pivotal experience ignited his fervor for both scholarly pursuits and achieving clinical mastery.

His commitment to excellence and education led him to serve as clinical faculty and interim director of the AEGD Clinic at UCLA, while practicing general dentistry. During this tenure, he garnered accolades, including induction as a fellow of the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy. Despite early success, Dr. Monsef realized his true calling lay in preserving natural dentition, prompting his return to UCLA for specialized training. Today, as a respected clinician and published researcher, he continues to satisfy his intellectual curiosity and promote professional standards through his roles as clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry.

Dr. Monsef's dedication to his craft is underscored by his pursuit of board certification with the American Board of Endodontics. A member of the American Dental Society and American Association of Endodontics, he specializes in microsurgical endodontics, ensuring precision and care in every procedure.
